Visiting the Auburn University NOBCChE Chapter
On November 28, I visited the Auburn University NOBCChE chapter and gave a talk during their monthly chapter meeting. I presented my most requested workshop, “Building your Brand in STEM”. Although the students were in the middle of preparing for finals, there were over 40 students who participated.
I got to me meet student like Jillian W. who want to work in the Pharmaceutical Industry (of course I’m thrilled about that) and university leaders like Dr. Kim Mulligan, Director for the Office of Diversity and Multicutural Affairs and Dr. Cordelia Brown who are helping to advance minorities in STEM at Auburn.
The icing on the cake was visiting with Manuel Diaz Tinoco, Maya West, and the NOBCChE Student Leaders. We took a few pictures and even got a dab in with Dr. Ortiz, NOBCChE board member and the sponsor for the NOBCChE chapter!
I am so proud of them and the example they are setting on campus. I am looking forward to visiting again soon.
